How to enter Extra Pay (Annual Bonus)
The Extra Pay (or an Extra Emolument) facility is for a once per year, lump sum, bonus payment which is not guaranteed to be paid every year (such as an annual Christmas Performance Bonus). It is not for Commission payments, which happen more than once per year and are treated as ordinary pay.
Click 'Time/Income' and then 'Extra Emoluments'
Click 'Add'. Then select the employee and item from the dropdown menus.
Then enter a quantity e.g. how many hours.
And then enter the rate e.g. how much per hour.
The total amount will automatically fill.
Take the tick out of the 'Liable for Earner Levy' if required.
When done tick the 'Approved' box and then click 'Submit Changes'
