How to process Departing Employees
Enter details: Such as Last Working Date
From the Main Menu click 'Employee / Contractor', then 'Ending Agreement'.
Then select the employee and enter their Last Working Date.
If required you may enter an 'Extra Payment End Date'. For example, if the employee were to leave today, but is being paid for an additional 2 weeks, enter the date at the end of those 2 weeks. Also, if required, you may optionally select the reason for leaving and/or add a comment.

Where the final pay is to be processed separately from
the usual salary or wages for the employee
Create a One-off pay. Important: ensure all regular pay periods for the employee have been processed and approved prior to this step. One-off pays allow a pay period to be to be run in parallel with an existing pay period and are best used in special situations only.
To create a one-off pay, click 'Settings / Help' > 'Company Settings' > 'Company Pay Period'.
Locate the row with the Start/End Date required (the Last Working Date will be within this date range), and click the underlined Period number. This will pop up a confirm prompt.
One-off pay periods are easily recognised by the period number format, which have a suffix of ‘.1’ or ‘.2’ etc. The underlined Payment Date column may be changed for a one-off pay period; this is relevant with respect to the timing of PAYE for the period.
Once the one-off pay period has been processed, it is important to navigate to the Company Pay Period grid again, and click the Current Period checkbox for the top row.

Process the Timesheet and Take Home Pay in the correct pay period
In the Timesheet enter or clear Worked Hours.
Then approve the Timesheet - It is necessary for the Timesheet to be approved, in order for the Take Home Pay to show the final pay; this is in the top right-most field (box). To see further details, click the small drill-down box to the right of this. Then approve the Take Home Pay
